The Company

7000 Gypsies Productions was established with the sole purpose of adaptating, publishing and producing the science fiction musical based on the classic rock album Blows Against the Empire by Jefferson Starship. In addition, the company is formed to license and/or sell merchandise related to the production, including film, television, audio, digital media recordings, and clothing products.

The production company takes its name from the lyrics of the song “Hijack,” in which

7000 gypsies swirling together…
hijack the starship.
